Poolamma Perala is a senior women leader in Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party. She came into direct politics in 1995. From 1995 - 2001 she was held as Sarpanch of Etoor, and in 2001 she joined in TRS party. She is a senior women leader in Nalgonda district in TRS party.
She also served as state leader and Mandal leader for TRS party. She also went to jail many times while the Telangana struggle.
She won the 2014 ZPTC elections with huge majority in Thirumalagiri.
